Skinny Captain Crunch Shake

A healthy spin on childhood favorite! This Skinny Captain Crunch Shake is a bowl of cereal in a shake form and without using any actual Captain Crunch!  Total Friday recipe right there.

Something you are gonna want. Need. But hate yourself once you make it.

Not because you will immediately regret it and yoga pants will become your best friend. But because once you sip it, you are never going back.

A healthy spin on childhood favorite! This Skinny Captain Crunch Shake is a bowl of cereal in a shake form and without using any actual Captain Crunch!

I was introduced to Captain Crunch Shakes during my barista days. We have covered those days before so no need to bore you again. Rather, enlighten you to the ‘hidden menu’ that exists at Starbucks. Surely, you have heard of said ‘hidden menu’s’ at various restaurants. They are dangerous because they reveal secret treasures that you will not be able to get enough of.  First was the ‘cake batter’ frappuccino, which I guess it is not so secretive anymore due to their Birthday Cake Frappuccino. Which is just a vanilla bean base with hazelnut syrup blended in. Yes, they trashed it up for the frappuccino’s birthday by adding strawberry whip. But back in the day, we just had to deal with the whipless cake batter. Delicious nonetheless.  But my personal hidden menu top pick? Captain Crunch Frappuccino!!

Yes, that deserves extra !!

It may sound strange and quite impossible as there was no Captain Crunch actually harmed in the making of this drink.  So how does one get the taste of the captain without the actual cereal? And I mean the favor is SPOT ON. Like you might as well be shoving crunch berries in your face.

Well my friends, I am here to reveal the secret! Strawberries + Toffee. There. YOU GOT IT OUT OF ME.

Sorry for shouting but I feel like I have been holding onto this secret for too long.

A healthy spin on childhood favorite! This Skinny Captain Crunch Shake is a bowl of cereal in a shake form and without using any actual Captain Crunch!

Whenever someone would order a Strawberries and Cream Frappuccino, I would purposely make too much so there was extra leftover. For muah!  Just add a pump off toffee nut syrup and you are instantly transported to crunch berry land. No worries there.

But a bit ago, when I was making a strawberry shake at home, I laid eyes on my Torani’s toffee syrup that I heavy hand pour into my coffee each morning.  Bells immediately started going off. What has taken me so long to make the Captain Crunch shake?! Ever since that moment, I have been finding every excess to make a strawberry shake so I can taste those crunch berries just one more time.

This shake couldn’t be any easier. And healthier for you. Remember how we used cottage cheese as the base for our Skinny Peppermint Patty Shake? Well it’s back! The cottage cheese, almond milk and strawberry syrup combine to create the base. Then ice and toffee syrup are added. Blend away and there you hold the best darn milkshake. No hidden menu or secret language needed!

I love how you used captain crunch cereal here! I love the idea of using cereals and making them into something fun and unique. I may need to craft a Reese's Puffs one ;)

I have never heard of a Captain Crunch Shake, but it sure does sound delicious! Love how you made a skinnier version of it (just by the name it sounds like it would be pure sugar!)
