Hello perfectly creamy and dreamy peanut butter.

Let me rephrase that.

Hello perfectly creamy and dreamy peanut butter exploding with pumpkin fall flavor.

If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three items would you take? Yes, we are going there.

A jar of peanut butter would be one for me. Forget a spoon because let’s be honest, if you are by yourself, who is going to judge you if you use your hand? Amiright?

I am still deciding on the other two items, but peanut butter can be a stand in for breakfast, snack, dessert, or my whole meal…

It is no secret I love peanut butter. Well, the whole category of nut butters has my heart. When I make it at home, I rarely make it plain. Unless specifically requested by the hubs, which I quickly roll my eyes. Because plain can be boring.

We don’t like boring.

I first started making our own nut butters a few years ago and haven’t turned back. We started with coconut peanut butter then moved onto vanilla espresso almond butter, and then honey roasted peanut butter had the spotlight for awhile and we couldn’t leave out my beloved salted dark chocolate cashew butter.

You are going to love how simple it is to make your own peanut butter at home. There are a few ingredients and only one piece of equipment. All you need is peanuts, a few choice ingredients, and a food processor or high powered blender. Within 10 minutes, you will have creamy, homemade peanut butter bliss.

Once you have that part down, the flavor combos are up to your creativity. I threw in a little bit of maple syrup, coconut oil, which helps to create that velvety texture, pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice which all help to create that true fall flavor.

If you like your peanut butter chunky, at the end add a handful of chopped peanuts and stir, stir, stir.

We have been enjoying this pumpkin spice peanut butter every morning on our toast and oatmeal, in the afternoons with my apple or just by the spoonful! I say if you are to make one thing this Sunday, it must be this. Everyone will be snagging the jar for themselves!

Wanting more homemade nut butters?

This creamy Salted Dark Chocolate Cashew Butter is couldn't be any simpler to make as it only has 4 ingredients! Better double the batch as it will go fast!

A homemade version of a store bought favorite! Roasted almonds mixed with vanilla beans and espresso for an energy charged almond butter! #almondbutter #glutenfree #vanilla #espresso

Vanilla Espresso Almond Butter

Homemade peanut butter (or any other nut butter for that matter), could quite possibly be the simplest thing to make. But if you have yet to make it, then I welcome you to try it out and see why you will never buy the jarred stuff again.
