These Spicy BBQ Tex Mex Chicken Burgers are grilled to perfection and topped with spicy pepperjack cheese, juicy tomato and finished with a tangy BBQ ketchup.
Would you believe me if I say I have found my latest summer obsession? After all, summer is all about firing up that grill and taking dinner to the great outdoors.
You see, as a gal that would gladly choose a bird over a cow any day, I couldn’t be more excited to tell you guys about a new partnership with a brand that I truly love – Gold’n Plump! They are an all natural chicken brand based out of St. Cloud, Minnesota with a core line of products that contain no artificial ingredients, preservatives or added hormones. Say what? No funny business? I am all over that.
They offer a wide range of products, from whole chickens, lean chicken breasts, wings, thighs, ground chicken, chicken sausages, seasoned chicken breasts, and my favorites, chicken patties. They have four flavors – Original, Mushroom & Swiss, Bacon &Cheddar and their latest, Tex Mex.
When we first fired up the grill to test these babies out, we instantly loved the idea of the vacuum sealed pouch, each containing three, 1/3 lb patties. Grill all three up and I have lunch the next day! No need to cook all six burgers at the same time, or attempt to avoid freezer burn for the remaining burgers.
After a minor freak out realizing the burgers were still frozen and my stomach was growling, I was put at ease, as I read, “No need to thaw. Ready to cook!”
Someone was looking after us!
But do not mistake these burgers for being precooked. The frozen patties cook up quickly on the grill, in the oven or on the stovetop. So quickly that dinner was on the table in a short 15 minutes.
Praise the dinner gods!
Gold’n Plump has just released their latest chicken patties flavor – Tex Mex. Full of southwest flavor, they are filled with jalapenos, hot pepper cheese and diced green chiles. While I could stop there, these burgers are fantastic straight off the grill. I amped them up with more cheese, juicy tomatoes and a BBQ spiked ketchup! And don’t forget that garlic butter that is toasted right onto those buns!
I foresee a summer filled with burger grill outs and loaded chicken burgers!
