about this baked ravioli recipe
This Baked Ravioli recipe is ideal for busy weeknights. It only takes 5 ingredients and comes together in an embarrassingly short amount of time. You could even prep the casserole before hand, cover and refrigerate until ready to bake.
Pair it with a green salad and you have a well rounded, nutritious dinner on the table in no time!
ingredients you will need for this baked ravioli
- Tomato and Basil Pasta Sauce (or your favorite pasta sauce)
- Refrigerated Ravioli (or ravioli of choice)
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Fresh Baby Spinach
- Parmesan cheese
how to make this baked ravioli
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a greased 9×9 or baking dish, place 1 cup pasta sauce. Top with half of the ravioli, spinach and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers.
- Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.
can you use frozen ravioli?
Yes! I would suggest thawing first, or you can extend the cooking time if they are frozen. As well as covering the casserole with foil for the first 20 minutes, then uncover for the last 20-30 minutes, or until heated thru and the cheese is melted.
can I customize this easy baked pasta recipe?
Of course! Use your favorite ravioli flavor, such as sausage filled. Or even a pumpkin ravioli with an Alfredo would be too die for! You can add whichever cheese your family likes, just be sure it melts well!
can I make this baked ravioli ahead of time?
Yes! You can do one of two things. Prepare then store in the fridge for a day or two before baking. Cover with foil or an airtight lid then bake as normal. This would be a great meal idea for new moms!
Or, you can freeze after assembling as a healthy freezer meal! Make a double batch and place it in freezer-friendly baking dish. Then thaw out the night before you want to bake it.

Notes
*If you wish to speed up the baking time to around 10-15 minutes, precook the ravioli for 5 minutes in boiling water if using fresh ravioli, longer for frozen. Ideally, you want to cook it a couple minutes less than what your package instructions say since it will continue to cook in the oven a bit.
