After a little hiatus, The Cooking Class Files is back! With this summers craziness, I am glad to be back to present some fun articles to help even the most novice chef in the kitchen!

Let’s take a look into our pantries and think about all the ingredients we use most often; such as peanut butter, ketchup, BBQ sauce, seasonings, dressing, pancake mix, to granola and snack bars. Have you ever thought to make them yourself? If not, I highly suggest you try!

Making your own pantry staples allows you to customize the flavors, control what goes into your food, and maybe save you even a little bit of money!  I have gathered 80+ recipes to help you start whipping up fresh DIY foods today!     Love this overview! I recently started making my own ketchup (only 5 ingredients for perfectly smokey and delicious ketchup) and I can't even tell you how amazing it is (and easy to make) and what a good feeling it is to know it's homemade versus store bought :)
