As I stated last Friday, I am a total snacker.
If every meal was a snack plate, I would be one happy gal. So when I found out about ‘Graze’, I knew It was going to win me over.
Graze was founded by seven friends, in London back in 2008. Since coming to the US towards the end of 2013, it has taken off and they have nearly doubled their US subscribers.
Graze is a monthly subscribtion service that delivers four individually packaged and pre-portioned snacks to your door every two weeks, but you can change to weekly, or even every four weeks if you choose. Graze differs from other snack subscription services as they cater to you and your needs completely. Whether gluten free or calories are a concern, you are able to customize your box based on their rating system. As you scan their site of over 90 unique snack opitions, you can ‘Trash, Try, Like, or Love’ each one to create a snack box that is completely yours. To help guide you, each snack has a health benefit label; such as gluten free or a good source of protein; and also a full nutritional lable. Their in house nutritious ensures that every snack has a nutritional benefit; whether that is protein boost or essential vitamins!
In my first box, I recieved three sweet snacks, one savory. The first one was Toffee Apple and deemed a favorite between the hubby and I. Freeze dried granny smith apple slices with a sticky toffee sauce. A simple and light dessert, as it comes in at only 80 calories. The toffee sauce was sweet but not overly sugary but with enough caramel flavor. The apples were the perfect bite size and were a bit chewy; not completely dried like similar dried fruit. I would add this one to the ‘Love’ column, which tells Graze to send this snack reguarly! A dessert that I wouldn’t feel bad about indulging in regulary!
The second item was the Fruit and Seed Flapjack; a british style oat bar filled with dried apricots, dried dates, sunflower seeds, raisins, currents and pumpkin seeds. We absolutely loved these. The texture was very different than the typical granola bar; chewy and bursting with dried fruit that contributed to the wholesome flavor and texture. With three, smaller bars, they are a perfect snack to cure any afternoon craving while running errands.
Up next is the Cracking Black Pepper Cashews; filled with black pepper, roasted, unsalted cashews and redskin peanutes. I am always down for a handful of cashews as a quick energy boost and the addition of black pepper and peanuts is a bonus! The pepper was a bit heavy for my liking, but I am the one goes without every peppering my food so if you a pepper lover, these are for you!!
The last was the Creamy Peach Cobbler; a poppable pie! Peach fruit strings, honey almond silvers, amaretti drops and yogurt coated sunflower seeds provide a vitamin and mineral boost all while under 130 calories! The peach fruit strings feel like a grown up fruit snack! I may be guilty of picking them all out first. Then moving onto to amaretti drops – which seemed like a small, amertto flavored, soft cookie. The honey almonds and yogut sunflower seeds provided the sweet and salty combo that I usually crave in the afternoons. Another perfect, portable snack that I would throw into my bag to save me when a snack attack hits.
While I am already stoked to check my mail for my next box, Graze is letting you try out your own snack box with your First Box Free! Make sure to use the code SUMMERBOX22 and just await for wholesome snacks to arrive on your doorstep in a few short days!
Since I have already devoured my snacks, I am not so patiently awaiting my next box of surprise, norishing treats!
So tell me, what type of snacks would you choose in your Graze box?
