Sizzling Summer Giveaway! {Closed}

In honor of the first day of summer, some pretty amazing bloggers and myself have gotten together to throw a Sizzling Summer Giveaway!

Sizzling Summer Blog Hop Image -Final

With summer in full swing, what a better way to kick it off then with an amazing giveaway with everything filled to make your summer out of this world?! Myself and 13 other bloggers have all come together to create summer gift baskets filled with some of our favorite summer things to give to our beloved readers.

Being from the midwest, summer means BBQ. In every form and fashion, patio grilling, drinking and chatting is on the top of our minds. So naturally I want to share the love of some of my favorite things that make me smile all summer long.

First up is the Peace, Love and BBQ cookbook to help inspire any dinner! A unique combination of recipes, memoir and travel tales of Mike Mills, the BBQ legend, as he shares his love of barbecue for its intensely smokey flavors. The recipes allow anyone to serve award winning, finger licking good BBQ recipes right at home. He has you covered with family recipes to his own creations, ranging from barbecued meats and fish, to rubs, sauces, sides, soups and delicious sweets to bring the flavor of the midwest right to your backyard.

And what good will a barbecue book and recipes be without an authentic BBQ sauce? You know you are in a Midwest house, when there is seventeen varieties of BBQ sauce to choose from. And if you have ever been to KC, you know the most loved BBQ joint in town (well, according to my family) is Oklahoma Joe’s. The legendary joint started in gas station; and to this day, if you don’t get there at 11am, expect to be waiting in line for quite a while. But it will be worth the wait. Luckily, you can take home a bottle of their addicting and delicious sauce; slightly sweet and tangy. Their BBQ sauce will make you feel like you are enjoying award winning ribs at a tiny lil gas station.

Lastly, to quench your thirst during the summer heat, is my favorite tea; Tazo Passion Tea. Granted I am not much of a tea drinker, but working at Starbucks for years converted me to the sweet, tropical teas. Passion Tea, for its herbal notes, has me hooked. Plus, it’s pink! My favorite way to sip it is with lemonade. Sweet, tart and delicious all in one. Plus home brewing will save your wallet as you will be able to serve coffee house quality tea right at home. Sweet summer success!

    Living by Lake Michigan in Milwaukee, I love just enjoying the lake breeze and walking down to the festivals in the city! It's so fun to grill out on the patio and then head over to a festival, event, or outing - Milwaukee is so very active! I'm also loving early morning boot camp workouts in the park near my place. Working out overlooking the lake, being drizzled on (sometimes), and breathing in Mother Nature's beautiful scents...I'm blessed!
