Glitz, Glamour and a New Website Design!

I have exciting news! As I am sure you have noticed that my site got a makeover. You like?

I am in love. The very talented, Julie Sherman, with Blogger Boutique designed my site to fit me perfectly. Simple, clean with a touch of glitz and glamour.  A big part of the redesign was creating a custom logo that represented me and my site. Julie designed this beautiful logo you see above and below…how gorgeous! Do you see the fork, knife and spoon in the side graphics of the logo?! I in such awe.

Throughout the site you will notice a slight color change…I went with colors that represent me. Coral, Silver and Black. They are the colors of my upcoming wedding so it made it rather easy to pin point colors for my site! And the site wouldn’t be complete without a touch of sparkle. I LOVE the silver, sparkly font that Julie incorporated into the logo, the social icons and miscellaneous header fonts. I’m so smitten!

I decided to go with the Foodie Theme on the Genesis Framework. It is much cleaner and user-friendly than before.

A few things I love about the new website:

  • Foodie theme on Genesis Framework – more user-friendly, searchable and much cleaner!
  • Recipe Index – Talk about snazzy! And how in LOVE I am with this new feature.  You can search by recipe category, date or by any ingredient at the top or you can scroll throughout all my categories and see the latest 4 recipes that have been posted for that featured category.  Words cannot express how excited I am about this feature (as it was the main driver in my choice on this theme) whereas before, on the backend, it was a pain to update the categories and images. All manual work. Who has time for that?

  • Able to scroll between recipes at the bottom of each page…see below!  Enables readers to scroll through previous and the next post with easy.

I hope you enjoy the new site! And please let me know if you run into any glitches…as I am still working my way through the site. It would be much appreciated!  Enjoy!
